Project Type: Health Systems Planning & Interior Design
Carnegie Hill Endoscopy is part of a nation-wide roll out of endoscopy centers by Physicians Endoscopy, a national organization specializing in the development and operation of centers that are designed specifically for screening through GI Colonoscopy. Drawing from major local hospitals, Carnegie Hill Endoscopy consists of 20 physician partners, located on the ground floor of a residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper Eastside. The facility allows the physicians to move case volume from their practice offices, creating opportunities for for greater capacity. Custom-designed to support their unique work flow and patient process, the facility consists of a reception/waiting area, a registration area, consultation rooms, physician and administrative offices, and 15 pre-post op bays for 5 procedure rooms. Each procedure room has the capacity to screen more than 20,000 patients per year. Jeffrey Berman Architect was involved in this project from programming and site selection through DOH occupancy inspection and start-up.
