JBA designed two new operating rooms and integrated state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgery technology, formulating the new concept with the surgeons and then building new technology OR’s as prototypes for a new OR platform that would consist of 21 new integrated OR’s. To adopt this new procedure without sacrificing existing traditional OR spaces, JBA's design allowed smooth uninterrupted transition from minimally invasive surgery to open surgical procedures.  The scope included the two operating rooms and support facilities, a mezzanine viewing gallery and a teaching laboratory.
