NEW YORK-PRESBYTERIAN WESTCHESTER HOSPITAL

Ambulatory Surgery

Location: Bronxville, NY
Size: 16,000 square feet
Project: Expansion

The goal of this project is to expand and update the ambulatory surgery pre/post patient spaces, add new procedure and endoscopy ORs and update the workflow in Radiology. After expanding the OR Suite from 4 to 8 rooms the Hospital needed to expand its pre/post bed count and consolidate the endoscopy program with the ORs. The planning had to be designed to keep the Radiology Department and the new ORs in operation during Construction and to optimize the phasing to limit the duration of the Construction phase. The program consists of 16 pre/post op private rooms with nursing observation, 2 interventional endoscopy rooms with 1 OR for minor procedures, a staff office and support amenities for the OR platform and new waiting and reception to be shared between Radiology and the ORs.

Planning for a modernization of Radiology in a separate project was completed with Schematic Design of this project. Construction will start in January 2019 and with projected completion in the 1st Quarter of 2020.
